报告摘要:

  Blockchain technology (BCT) shows tremendous potential in tackling the recycling crisis. However, much of the current debate remains conceptual and lacks empirical evidence. This study is motivated to explore BCT applications in recycling chains through a multiple-case study approach. By applying the organizational information processing theory, we found that BCT offers information processing capabilities of immutability, integration, transparency, and trust to tackle recycling chain-specific uncertainties. Also, boundary objects play the knowledge integration role to engage multi-tier stakeholders and facilitate applications. It enriches the research on recycling chains and expands on empirical research on BCT. The pioneering exemplars showcase the latest practices with insightful implications.

人物介绍:

  龚宇,英国南安普顿大学(2024QS世界排名第81位)商学院运营管理副教授,博士生导师,CORMSIS中心校企联合中国区主任,区块链与供应链双链融合中心主任,英国牛津大学访问学者。主要研究方向为多层级可持续供应链管理与供应链创新,已发表SCI/SSCI论文70余篇,加拿大毅伟教学案例四篇。
